Most young children love art and music. If you put a set of art supplies or a collection of musical instruments in front of them, they will know what to do without any guidance. Indeed, creativity is natural for young children. If you are homeschooling a preschooler or kindergartener, be sure to give your child plenty of opportunity to engage with art and music naturally, without guided instruction. However, the preschool and kindergarten years can also be a valuable time to begin more formal musical or artistic training. Many homeschoolers use formal curriculums for teaching the arts and music to children of this age.
This section includes our recommendations for art and music curriculums and other resources for homeschooled preschoolers and kindergarteners. If you have questions or want more information, please email us!
